South Wales to host world’s first trail running and music festival in 2023

Love Trails, the world’s first trail running and music festival, is back for 2023 with a four-day itinerary of exploration, adventures, music and more.

Set in the beautiful Gower Peninsula in South Wales, Love Trails is a magical weekend like no other, combining trail running, wild swimming and adrenaline sports with live music, yoga, workshops and inspirational campfire talks  – not to mention one hell of a party.

Bringing together the collective euphoria of watching live music on a big stage, the ‘runner’s high’ and the feeling of pure joy from running into the sea, Love Trails is a larger-than-life long weekend like no other.

A combination of the best outdoor adventures and the things most loved about music festivals, this trail running and music festival really is the perfect active retreat.

Throughout the day, runners can explore the trails and coastal paths of the stunning Gower Peninsula, the UK’s first designated and protected Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Strictly non-competitive with a focus on fun, runners can choose from guided trail runs, marked courses or ‘just show up’ experiences ranging from 3km – 55km, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

With adventure at the heart of the Love Trails experience, runners can enhance their runs with an array of ‘next level’ add-ons, including Run to Coasteering, Run to Sea Kayaking, Run to Paragliding, Run to Surf and Run to SUP.

Once adrenalined out, guests can level up on adventure with a wide variety of wind-down activities.

From yoga and wellness programmes, nature walks and wild swimming, to documentary screenings, wood-fired hot tubs and inspirational speakers, wellbeing is definitely top of the agenda.

At night time, the party comes alive, with three stages hosting a cherry-picked selection of DJs and live acts that will keep festival-goers dancing under the stars until the early hours of the morning.

Throw in some fantastic food, community spirit and the ‘play hard, party hard’ vibe, and you’ve got the perfect weekend in the great outdoors.

“2023 is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever before,” says event founder, Theo Larn-Jones.

“We’ve combined an ambitious and creative run experience programme and are excited to release more information about the music line-up in the coming months.

“For four days, we create an unique weekend filled with experiences for every kind of adventurer, bringing together fun, friendship and of course trail running adventures of all shapes and sizes.

“There’s absolutely nothing else like it out there and we can’t wait for people to experience it all next summer.”

Love Trails takes place 6th-9th July 2023. Early Bird tickets are on sale 26th December 2022. For more information and to register for tickets, visit lovetrailsfestival.co.uk.
